A Bio solar home is a type of house which uses energy from the sun for light, heat and power. Passive solar technology are designed for the usage of the sun's light and heat. This type of homes that are made with this technology are designed with windows, floors and walls which are made to distribute, receive and store solar energy in the form of heat. This type of design is also known as climatic design because it provides heat on the winter season and rejects the heat on the summer time. This process does not involve any usage of electrical or mechanical devices.Active solar technology is used to convert solar energy into usable heat, light, air movement for cooling and ventilation. It uses electrical or mechanical devices such as: Fans and pumps to increase the usage of the heat in a system. The comparison between both technologies is that Active solar provides a higher solar savings fraction than Passive solar due to the greatly transport and heat transfer. Solar energy is the light and heat provided by the sun.
Solar power is the conversion of light from the sun into electricity. It could directly using Photovoltaics (PV) or Concentrated solar power (CSP). Photovoltaics is a method which generates electrical power by converting solar radiation into DC (direct current) electricity, which uses semi conductors that provides the photovoltaic effect. Concentrated solar power is a system that uses lenses or mirrors to concentrate a large area of sunlight into a smaller area.
A solar water heater is an example of solar home heating. This solar water heaters function by collecting the heat from the sun rays which will warm the water that moves through the pipes connected to the panels. There needs to be an installation of a thermal panel on the roof of the house. The main reason of building a bio solar home is to convert a wasteful energy home into a clean efficient energy home.
